Payments and Donations for DebConf10

There are two organizations which can accept payment and donations for DebConf10, FFIS in the European Union (in euros) and SPI in the United States (in US or Canadian dollars). Either can be used to pay attendee fees. Please use the exchange rate from www.xe.com to determine your payment amount. Other donations are encouraged, and can be paid via the same mechanisms. Using SPI is preferred if convenient for you, especially in US dollars, in the interest of reducing money transfer delays and currency conversion fees.

If you have any doubts regarding how much you need to pay, please mail registration@debconf.org.

SPI - USA (for transactions in US and Canadian dollars)

For USA and Canadian transactions, if possible, please mail a check (cheque) or money order in US or Canadian currency to save us on processing fees. You will need to indicate in the memo field that the check/cheque/money order is a DebConf10 attendee fee or donation (whichever applies) and the name(s) of the attendee(s). Mail the check to:

Software in the Public Interest, Inc.
PO Box 501248
Indianapolis, IN 46250-6248
USA

SPI can also be paid via credit card using Click&Pledge There are two forms, one for attendee fees and one for donations. Click&pledge can be used to make payments worldwide in USD via VISA, MasterCard, or Discover. Payments via AMEX are also accepted via our alternate payment processor. If the name on the card does not match the attendee name, or you are paying for multiple attendees, please email registration@debconf.org to inform us of your payment.

The SPI Treasurer can be contacted to arrange other USD payment methods, for example account numbers for a direct deposit transfer.

SPI has tax-exempt public charity status under section 501(c)(3) of the US Internal Revenue Code, meaning that, if you are a US taxpayer, your payment may be partially or fully tax-deductible depending on the category of payment and your own tax situation. Please consult your tax adviser.
